Health Alert - U.S.Embassy Tokyo(April 3, 2020)

アメリカ大使館が３日に出した「健康に関する警報」より抜粋。
As compared to the number of positive cases and hospitalizations in the United States and Europe, the number of reported COVID-19 cases in Japan remains relatively low. The Japanese Government’s decision to not test broadly makes it difficult to accurately assess the COVID-19 prevalence rate.
（アメリカやヨーロッパに比べて、日本の感染者数はかなり少ない。幅広く検査をしないという日本政府の決定が、新型コロナウイルスの感染率を正確に把握することを困難にしている）
While we have confidence in Japan’s health care system today, we believe a significant increase in COVID-19 cases makes it difficult to predict how the system will be functioning in the coming weeks.
（今日の日本の医療制度には信頼がおけるものの、感染の急増によって、今後数週間においてその制度がどのように機能するかを予測することが困難になっている）
If U.S. citizens wish to return to the United States, they should make arrangements to do so now. U.S.
（アメリカ国民が帰国したいと望むなら、今すぐその準備をすべきである）

　あの深刻な状況にあるアメリカ本国への帰国を勧めるというのは、日本人としては理解できない部分があるが、検査不足により感染実態がわからない、医療が持つのかどうかわからない、こうした日本の現状が大使館を不安にさせていることがよくわかる。
